UST 2007 alumnus John Joerns, a political science major in the Honors program, spent four months as one of 100 interns, at the White House's Office of Public Liaison, responsible for coordinating on-house events such as conferences and seminars.

UST students who become engaged during their college career undertake a balancing act between managing coursework and planning a wedding. Appointments to sample wedding cakes and choose floral arrangements while studying for midterms and writing papers present challenges that most do not face until after college.
